At the invitation extended by the University of Tehran (Faculty of Entrepreneurship) and the University of Isfahan (Economics Department and International Economics Forum for Regional Cooperation), Professor Charles Harvie and Professor Tran Van Hoa, paid a visit to Iran which lasted from May 22 to May 29, 2011. During their stay in Iran, they had meetings and Lectures which, inter alia, can be listed as follows:
-Lecture by Professor Tran Van Hoa at the Institute for International Energy Studies affiliated to the Ministry of Oil on:
"The Economic Development and Environmental Pollution"
-Lecture by Professor Charles Harvie at the Institute for Commercial Research on:
"The Role of Entrepreneurship and SMEs in Economic Development"
Both lectures were delivered from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, on Tuesday, May, 24, 2011, followed by a question and answer session.
-Lecture at the Faculty of Entrepreneurship on the "Entrepreneurship, SMEs and Asian Experience" from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Thursday, May 26, 2011. The lecture was attended by a large number of professors, students and entrepreneurs. The topic was broken up into two parts as follows:
-One part for Professor Tran Van Hoa entitled;
"Entrepreneurship and Economic Development in Asia"
-The other part for Professor Charles Harvie entitled;
"The Importance of SMEs and their Financing""
The lecture was also followed by a question and answer session in which the questions raised by the audience were answered.
